Discover the tourist region of Languedoc-Roussillon with its diverse landscapes and sunny climate. Consisting of five départements (Aude, Gard, Hérault, Lozère and Pyrénées-Orientales) it presents contrasting areas, with the Mediterranean to the south, along the Catalan coast to the arid and austere north with its great limestone escarpments. United by its sunny climate, the Languedoc-Roussillon region is rich in culture, which is inherited from Ancient Rome and still very much present in cities such as Montpellier, Nîmes, Perpignan and Carcassonne. The diversity of the region offers many opportunities for weekends and holidays, whether they prefer to enjoy the pleasures of the sea and lounging in the coastal resort, or to explore the wilderness of the foothills of the Cévennes, a true paradise for outdoor sports and hiking. The locals are welcoming and friendly and will delight in allowing you to discover the taste of the specialities of the region: the meats, chestnuts, truffles, seafood specialties and all kinds of fruit, especially the grapes, which are used to make the wines such as Corbières, Minervois, Muscat and Rivesaltes, which are produced in this region have gained an international reputation.
